F-36 2 cycle 15hp
Hirth's newest low-hp engine with complete exhaust system, re-drive, and carburetor weighs only 28 pounds. This is a single cylinder, two-stroke gasoline engine with a horizontal shaft. F36 is free air cooled by propeller with the direction of rotation being counterclockwise viewed towards PTO. Available with electric or recoil start. Belt reduction drive available in hanging (shown) or standing configurations.
The F-36 incorporates an Al-Nikasil coated cylinder for superior performance and reliability. Al-Nikasil in simple terms is a nickel based material, applied in a paste form; when super heated it becomes part of the cylinder itself. Al-Nikasil provides for a super low coefficient of friction, reducing total engine heat and allowing the piston and cylinder to expand at the same rate thus providing for a seizure resistant engine.
